Glenfield Night Markets

Glenfield Night Market has got to be my favourite Sunday night activity. 

Walking into this hidden gem located in the car park under the Glenfield mall, is like stepping straight on to the streets of Bangkok. The air is filled with a smokey haze from open grill fires, and a mix of smells from all corners of the globe. Just like authentic Asian markets, people are packed in shoulder to shoulder, searching for a spot to eat and squeezing past each other in search of international delights to tempt the palate. 

Malls

Malls, malls, malls….Today I visited three of them!! Westfied Albany, Westfield West City and Westfield St Lukes.

Going to the mall is definitely a favorite Auckland past time. People dont go to the mall to spend money, they go to the mall to “go to the mall”, the aisle ways are constantly full of people walking with no sense of direction, mothers dragging kids and husbands, groups of 14 year old Justin Bieber look-alikes and the occasional consumer.
